It's a shame how many reviews out there feel like straight up commercials. I was getting sick of it. Too many guys are taking free bottles and brand money, so you never know what's genuine and what's marketing.

Here’s the deal... I don't get paid, I don't get bottles for free, and I don't have any affiliate links. Because the minute you take that money, you care about it, and your review will always be biased. I don't care what anyone says.

Every single bottle I review is bought with my own cash. 💵 That gives me the freedom to give you my straight up take.

Who is Toni B?

Some people collect cards or games, I collect and taste bourbon and tequila. I've been doing this since I was 21. Just like everyone else, I started out drinking the bad stuff... but as I grew up, my palate matured and I got a better understanding of the flavors. Now, I'm heavy into high proof bourbons, straight ryes, and strictly additive free tequilas.

Why did you create the channel?

I launched this because the community needed a reset. There's too much sponsored content and fake talk out there. I wanted to build something real. No paid opinions, no affiliate links, just the truth about what's in the glass.
How long have you been collecting? It’s all about the hunt. I track down the most rare, top tier allocated bottles out there... the stuff most people only see pictures of... just so I can crack them open and let you know if they actually deliver or if they're a waste of money.

What makes you qualified to review spirits?

When I write down what I taste, I mean it. I'm not trying to say things just to impress people or repeat what others say. I tell you what I actually and really taste, and I will explain it in a way you are familiar with. I keep it real.
How do you review each bottle? I keep it consistent. Every drink goes neat into a Glencairn glass so you can really smell it. I shoot the reviews at my custom home bar under the LED uplighting, usually with some popcorn 🍿 to clear my taste between sips.

Where do your bottles come from?

Retail stores, the secondary market, whatever it takes. Like I said, every single one is bought with my own cash so my reviews stay completely unbiased.

Why do you wear the mask?

The custom 3D printed mascot mask just sets the tone. It keeps the brand distinct and makes sure you focus on what matters... the review and the liquid, not my face. And no, it’s not the Monopoly man. 🧐

The 100 Point Score System

Now, let me tell you a little bit about my 100 point scoring system. I use a straight up scorecard so every bottle gets judged on the exact same level. No playing favorites.Every score is earned, never given. I don't boost numbers just because a bottle is popular. Here is how I break it down:
 

  • Presentation (15 Points): I look at the bottle design and build. Is it clean and elegant? I want to see if it stands out on the shelf with a wow factor, or if it's just missing something.
     

  • Aroma (15 Points): What hits you when you smell it? I want to see what's there. The oak from the barrel, sweet caramel, blue agave, or touches of vanilla and pepper. It needs to be inviting.
     

  • Taste (25 Points): The most important one. Is it smooth? Do the flavors hit right away? I want to see what it's really made of, or if it leaves you wanting more.
     

  • Finish (20 Points): How long does it stick around? I'm measuring the warmth and the oak. A great finish stays with you. If it fades too fast, it loses points.
     

  • Value (25 Points): Here's the deal... is it actually worth the price tag? I compare what I paid against what it really delivers. Even a great bottle loses points if they charge way too much for it.
